The LJMC Information team is an integral part of Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. As well as sourcing and providing information from reputable information providers, we also produce a number of publications specifically for patients at Mount Vernon.

All our publications are written in conjunction with relevant healthcare professionals, as well as patients and carers, following a documented process (10‑Point Plan).

The LJMC achieved certification to the Information Standard in 2011. This programme, supported by NHS England, was dedicated to improving the quality of health and care information. Although this scheme closed in 2019, the LJMC Information team continues to follow the criteria in the Standard using procedures that ensure our publications are:

  • accurate
  • impartial
  • balanced
  • evidence-based
  • accessible
  • well-written

The quality of our information publications has been recognised nationally with the team winning a number of awards for its work.
