Sometimes, unless you ask for help, people may assume you are managing on your own. We all need help now and then so don't be afraid to ask - it could make all the difference to you.
As well as the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre itself, there are many sources of help, some of which are listed below.
Confidential support regarding cancer treatment and clinical trials and any questions about cancer. Funds research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer.
Service to support carers. Over 210 attendant schemes throughout the UK. There is usually a small charge.
This award-winning website lets you share in other people's experiences of health and illness. Includes video and audio clips.
A site to help you understand the many clinical laboratory tests that are used in diagnosis and treatment.
National charity providing expert care and practical and emotional support to people living with cancer. Services are free, confidential and available to anyone. Financial help may be available to some cancer patients; ask your Macmillan team for details.
A library of information on all aspects of cancer and its treatments.
Comprehensive health information as provided by GPs and nurses to patients during consultations.
