Sometimes, unless you ask for help, people may assume you are managing on your own. We all need help now and then so don't be afraid to ask - it could make all the difference to you.
As well as the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre itself, there are many sources of help, some of which are listed below.
National helpline offering emotional support to women and their partners affected by all types of gynaecological cancer.
Information and support for women with cervical cancer or who are concerned about cervical smears. Confidential medical advice, counselling and support.
A national support group for patients, relatives and friends affected by ovarian cancer. Provides information, telephone support, a network of patients and regular newsletters.
Information, courses and publications for patients, families and carers.
A website for ladies who have had vulval cancer and other vulval diseases and disorders.
Offers advice and telephone counselling to women with gynaecological and hormonal disturbance problems and psycho-sexual conditions.
Support for women with any type
of gynaecological cancer.
Meetings held on the first Thursday
of each month (10am-12am) at Mount Vernon Hospital.
