Sometimes, unless you ask for help, people may assume you are managing on your own. We all need help now and then so don't be afraid to ask - it could make all the difference to you.
As well as the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre itself, there are many sources of help, some of which are listed below.
Provides support and information to women with breast cancer and other breast problems. This service is also available to families, partners and friends.
Provides information on benign breast disorders. Useful facts about breast health and self-examination.
National charity providing information and support for people affected by breast cancer. Supporting research and education.
A subdivision of Breast Cancer Care which raises money to fund breast cancer care, information and support to younger women with breast cancer.
A national charity providign support and information to people with lymphoedema. Produces a range of factsheets and a quarterly newsletter. Has information on local lymphoedema specialists.
Support Group meets in the Postgraduate Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital on third Wednesday of each month (7.00 - 9.00pm).
