You can access the complementary therapy service in any of the following ways:
We will try and book you in for your first appointment when you contact us. However, sometimes we are unable to do this, in which case someone from the centre will contact you as soon as they can. There is sometimes a waiting list for our complementary therapy service.
We will do our best to arrange an appointment that is convenient for you.
Each session is for 45 minutes so please try to arrive on your time, otherwise your session will be shorter. Please allow time for parking, especially if your appointment is in the morning. There is a charge for parking at the hospital with a Pay & Display scheme in operation 24 hours a day.
If you are unable to keep any appointment, we would appreciate at least 24 hours' notice so that we can re-allocate the appointment. Please call the Helpline (01923 844014).
We realise that there may be times when you may be unable to contact us yourself. However we would appreciate it if you could ask someone to do this on your behalf. There is always a high demand for our therapies so, if we know there is a cancellation, your therapist can see other patients either in the centre or on the wards.
All LJMC services are offered free of charge to NHS patients under the care of an oncologist based at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
The complementary therapy service at the LJMC is funded by voluntary donations. Any contributions towards the costs of the service are therefore always gratefully received.
Private patients having treatment at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre may also be eligible to use our services. Please call the Helpline for details.
